Pipe Markers – NZS 5807 & AS 1345 Compliant Identification
Keep your site safe, compliant and easy to navigate with our high-visibility Pipe Identification Markers.
Designed for industrial and commercial plants, these markers clearly show pipe contents and flow direction so your team, contractors and emergency services can instantly see what’s running where.
Product Description
Our industrial-grade Pipe Markers provide clear, durable and compliant identification of pipe contents in accordance with NZS 5807:1980 and AS 1345:1995. Designed for manufacturing facilities, processing plants, HVAC systems, hospitals, and commercial buildings, these markers improve safety, reduce downtime, and support compliance with workplace hazard identification requirements.
Each marker uses high-visibility colours and clear text to communicate the material classification, flow direction, and associated hazards. Available in wrap-around vinyl, clip-on rigid tags, or adhesive labels, these markers are durable enough for harsh indoor and outdoor environments.

Recommended Sizes (AS 1345 Guidelines)
Marker size is based on the outside diameter (OD) of the pipe for optimal readability.
| Pipe OD | Marker Height | Text Height | Typical Length |
| < 40 mm | 15 mm | 5 mm | 200–300 mm |
| 40–70 mm | 20 mm | 8 mm | 300–400 mm |
| 70–140 mm | 30 mm | 12 mm | 400–600 mm |
| 140–230 mm | 40 mm | 20 mm | 600–900 mm |
| > 230 mm | 50 mm | 30 mm | 900–1200 mm |
NZS 5807 does not prescribe exact dimensions, but AS 1345 sizes are widely adopted across NZ facilities for clarity and consistency.
