This sign informs people not to drink this water since it is not safe for everyone. Do not drink water advisory when your community’s water is, or could be, contaminated with harmful chemicals and toxins, and when boiling water will not make it safe.

• Drinking water advisories are issued to warn people to not drink water that may be unsafe or is known to not be safe based on water quality test results.
• Based on the type of water system, a drinking water advisory could affect one building or the whole community.
